This itinerary is the ultimate journey, a unique experience that will take you through centuries of history, art, and stunning landscapes. From the mysteries of Stonehenge to the vibrant energy of Liverpool, through the medieval elegance of York, each day is designed to surprise you and immerse you in the essence of England. It’s not just a tour—it’s the adventure you can’t miss.
Breakfast and the start of our journey towards Stonehenge, one of the most intriguing wonders of the world. We will visit the grand and mystical stone circle of Stonehenge; with over 5,000 years of history, it is one of the wonders of the world and for centuries has sparked the imagination and curiosity of those who visit it. It is the central hub of the Salisbury Plain, showcasing a mysterious landscape dotted with burial mounds and prehistoric carvings, which are now a World Heritage Site. Our next stop will be Salisbury. This charming medieval city is located in the county of Wiltshire, England. It is famous for its impressive Salisbury Cathedral, which houses the tallest spire in the country and one of the four original copies of the Magna Carta. We will have time for lunch. We will end the day in Bath, with a stop at the Royal Crescent, where we will start a walking tour of the city, passing by Pulteney Bridge—a three-arched Georgian bridge crossing the River Avon that offers the best views of the city—Bath Abbey, an imposing 16th-century church with an impressive Gothic facade, and of course, the Roman Baths of Bath. Afterwards, you will enjoy some free time to explore Bath at your own pace. Bed and breakfast at the Hampton by Hilton Bath Hotel or similar.
After breakfast, we will start our journey towards Oxford, a city steeped in centuries of academic history. We will take a walking tour through the historic center, exploring its iconic colleges, libraries, and university buildings. The University of Oxford has educated some of the most influential thinkers in history, from Stephen Hawking to Oscar Wilde. Among the highlights, we will visit the Bodleian Library, a true temple of knowledge, and stroll through the streets that have inspired generations of students and writers. After lunch, we will travel through the picturesque Cotswolds region to head to Stratford-upon-Avon, the birthplace of William Shakespeare. Its scenic historic center and the house where the famous playwright was born will transport us to another era. You will have the rest of the afternoon free to walk around and enjoy the local gastronomy. Bed and breakfast at the Macdonald Alveston Manor Hotel or similar.
After breakfast, we head to Chester, founded in 79 AD as the Roman fortress Deva. It was a major Roman military settlement. Its medieval walls, still encircling the old town, are the most complete in Britain. The city is also famous for the Chester Rows, unique two-level medieval shopping galleries.After lunch, we continue to Liverpool, where we’ll explore its vibrant musical heritage and maritime past. The Beatles Story Museum (admission included) takes us on an incredible journey through the story of the world’s most famous band. After breakfast, we depart Liverpool and head to the historic elegance of York. Founded by the Romans in AD 71, conquered by the Vikings in the 9th century, and later developed into a fortified medieval city, York retains its historical charm.We’ll take a walking tour of the old town, passing the majestic York Minster Cathedral and exploring the city's fascinating streets. The afternoon is free to stroll York’s charming streets and discover centuries-old shops and cafés.One of the highlights is The Shambles, a medieval street with overhanging timber-framed buildings that feels straight out of a fairy tale. It’s said to have inspired Diagon Alley in the Harry Potter films. Don’t miss The Shop That Must Not Be Named, filled with magical merchandise for fans of the series.Accommodation and breakfast at Ibis Styles York or similar.
On the final stretch of our tour, we head to Cambridge, a city marked by history and intellectual brilliance. Founded in 1209, it has been home to some of the world’s most influential minds, including Isaac Newton, Stephen Hawking, and Charles Darwin.Its academic legacy is everywhere, with prestigious colleges and centuries-old libraries. Highlights include the Cambridge University Library, and the Bridge of Sighs, a stunning covered bridge at St John’s College reminiscent of its Venetian namesake.After exploring the city and comparing it to Oxford, we return to London.END OF SERVICES.
