About the destination

Curaçao is an island in the Caribbean, among the group known as the ABC Islands alongside Aruba and Bonaire. One of the most notable things about the island is its culture. Curaçao has a nice blend of Caribbean, European, and Latino culture. The streets and buildings look European, but the people, the food, the music and the colourful street markets have a distinctly Caribbean flair. Willemstad is the capital of Curaçao. Willemstad has a gorgeous old town. Many of the buildings were constructed in the colonial Dutch manner in the early 18th century. The facades of these buildings are a kaleidoscope of colours ranging from pastel tints to vibrant blues, greens, reds, purples, jades, and buffs in a wide variety of shades.
